Athinik was
started in the year 1999 to promote small weavers of
villages with the objective of their economic empowerment
through exhibitions & sales of their product. "Bringing the
weavers to your doorstep" was the punch line. The promoter
of Athinik Mrs. Archana Bhatanagar being a leading luminary
in the field of Socio Economic Empowerment of women & the
founder president of the organization MAWE - Mahakaushal Association of Women
Entrepreneurs, began this as an independent initiative
to bring the women weavers of rural India into the economic
revolution in the Apparel Industry by giving them a direct
platform to market their goods.
With successful exhibitions in many cities across India & an
international exhibitions in Chicago last year, Athinik
comes of age as a Brand that promotes Traditional Indian wear
